Stained Glass

Just tried doing faux stained glass. I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. And I had a lot of fun making them.

I used Plaid Gallery Glass Paint from Michaels - paid $15 for a set of 31 colors including the liquid leading which creates the look of real leading lines. They are water based and non toxic. They are easy to make but require some patience and extra care.  I had to wait at least 8 hours before applying the glass paint to allow the black liquid leading to dry.

PNG Manggi

This Papua New Guinea Manggi (PNG young man) is one of my first artwork w/the South Pacific influence. This was done in the 90's as one of my college projects. My father was in Papua New Guinea at the time and had brought home magazines, pictures, & stories about PNG which inspired me to make a few artwork.
